Prints of the Frick Family Picture Taking Adventure

These are prints from our picture taking adventure at The Picture People. Needless to say we are going back in two weeks to try again (we aren't even being charged - nice place to work with)!! Check out Christian in these shots. Brielle was also afraid of the flash which made for an interesting experience. In the last picture Avery (without being prompted) is looking at Brielle. Kerri and I thought that was cute!!

A KinderFrick Weekend

Mommy is preparing a wonderful meal for our neighbor who just had a baby. Avery, our resident photographer, was at work again!

Daddy, Brielle, and Christian are playing after returning from the Wolfgang Chocolate Factory Tour in York, PA. We all had a chance to sample some delicious chocolate.

Brielle is continuing the long KinderFrick pirate tradition (Avery and Christian both played with the hat and sword). Notice the shirt "Wild About Daddy" - Sounds accurate to me!!

Practical Application

Baby Brielle's message on her shirt is a practical application to my recent course work on theories of development. Emotional availability and nuturing are, as many of you know, key factors in the proper development of children so this serves as a practical application of my graduate studies!!

Brothers, Sister and Daddy Too!

Daddy, Christian and Brielle are playing after coming home from church. Brielle is not very thrilled with this picture taking adventure. Avery does a good job taking pictures!!
The boys are enjoying playing with Brielle. She will definitely be well protected as she gets older.

Avery has a special bond with Baby Brielle. He always is able to make her laugh and smile even when she is having a bad day!!

Brielle is enjoying playtime and has mastered the backwards crawl.

KinderFricks at Play & Rest

Christian is resting during "quiet time" (this is a part of the day when the boys either rest and/or read a book in order to relax after exuberant play).

Avery is reading a book on our bed during "quiet time" - he is not one for napping when there are things to do.

Baby Brielle is taking a break on the chair and sporting a lollipop outfit. She is typically all smiles (even when she is sick). We hope that joyous spirit stays with her as she continues to grow.

Maryland Science Museum Visit in Baltimore (Inner Harbor)

Brielle, with her tech assistant (Mommy), is doing some research and experimenting at the water stations.

Christian is helping Brielle with her experimentation but soon left the water stations to play with trains because of his dislike of getting his sleeves wet.

Avery was thoroughly engaged in the water stations and made sure he visited every part of the stations. He enjoyed making fountains and building dams.

Avery and Christian are creating a water funnel. They enjoyed visiting the many stations that create scientific phenomenon.

The all time favorite part of the museum was none other than the dinosaur exhibits. Here the boys share the stage with one of their favorites (Mr. Triceratops).

Christian's Christmas Song(s)

Christian wanted to practice a Christmas song for us and he also shows some of his moves.

Christmas Activity or Inactivity?

Avery and Christian are getting ready to open gifts. Needless to say both were very excited about this opportunity.

A nap is clearly required after a day of Christmas excitement and the food that goes along with it. Kerri and her parents are getting the power nap in early!!

Avery, Christian and Connor (cousin) are testing their technological savy by using a Nintendo DS. It appears they are doing well from their expressions.

Brielle and Kerri are enjoying some playtime (this was before the nap above) - Mommy got tired out before Brielle. This is a common parental problem for Mommy and Daddy.

Pre Christmas Activities

Brielle is getting ready to eat some "real" food since she is now entering that stage of her life. She is all smiles about the menu.

Fun with the cousins (see below)

Fun with cousins continues (see below)

The three celebration photos are of a party with the cousins to celebrate Jesus' birthday. We just wanted to reinforce the true meaning of Christmas with our kids.

We also had some gaming fun with Mr. Mouth. Brielle liked one of the game attachments more than the game but regardless it was still a fun event.
Avery and Christian are showcasing Avery's Christmas diorama from school. Kerri and Avery worked hard on that project!

Fricks In Motion

Kerri, Brielle, and Christian enjoy some time together while in Liberty, PA visiting family.

Avery continues his musical ways by tickling the ivory.

Patriotic Avery

Avery gives us his version of an old patriotic tune. He also adds his own moves.

Halloween

The crew is getting ready to go trick or treating (Avery was Mr. Skeleton, Christian was the Red Power Ranger and Brielle was a Princess). Brielle fell asleep while we were going door to door (She went from being a Princess to Sleeping Beauty in a matter of minutes).

Sleeping Beauty awakens!!

The Three Lives of Brielle (Sounds Like a Soap Opera?)

Sleepy Brielle - Brielle is basking in the slumber of a sound sleep. We like to spend time looking at her when she is asleep.

Attentive Brielle - She enjoys playing with her toys, taking in her surroundings, and talking to her parents.

Feeding Brielle - OOPS!! We can't show you the other life because I don't think Mommy would appreciate being seen like that on the blog!?

Christian's Birthday

Christian is getting ready to open his presents as Avery and Brielle watch with anticipation!

Kerri and I had everything ready for when Christian got up in the morning. He (and his brother) were surprised by the decorations.

Here is Christian in his Red Power Ranger costume (it was a present but will also double as Halloween apparel). He could not wait to get it on and give it a test run.

Daddy is helping Christian get his costume off. Kerri thinks he looks like a race car driver or motocross racer in this outfit - maybe this is foreshadowing?

Here is the birthday boy with his Power Ranger cake! It is hard to believe he is four already.
